To all our ticket holders and loyal supporters past, present and future.
Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people who have been affected by this unprecedented event and we appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities, and governments around the world who are on the front line working to limit the impact.
In this climate, we know a festival may not be your first thought, but we want you to know the safety of our guests is our top priority. As we all face the difficult challenges of responding to Coronavirus (COVID-19) we at The Oxted Festival are facing up to some difficult challenges that “mass gatherings” may face over the coming weeks and months.
We ask for your support at this time as we move to protect the future of the festival and ensure that charitable donations can continue into the future, whilst also ensuring that you, our guests are safe and properly looked after. With this in mind we have decided to postpone the festival to July 2021. This will be over the weekend of 2,3 and 4 July 2021 which with the kind support of Master Park and Oxted Tennis club who have moved other events to facilitate this, does not coincide with the Godstoneberry date or any other local festival.
Your tickets will remain valid for the new date and there is no need for you to take any action this will happen automatically.
When the current situation has cleared we very much hope to put on a smaller scale event in August of this year, over the late bank holiday weekend. This will be of a scale similar in size to the 2015 Oxted Beer Festival. Any person who holds a valid ticket for the postponed Festival will automatically gain free access to this event (if we are able to put it on) as well as retaining access to the Oxted Festival 2021.
If you have any questions then we ask you to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do everything we can to respond in a timely manner. We ask that you bear with us during this incredibly difficult time as there are a limited number of us able to respond to your queries.
In the background we are working very hard with our suppliers and artists, who have also been impacted by the Coronavirus, to engage with them for 2021 and hopefully honour their commitments to us. We will pass on news of the line up as soon as we are able in each case.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and continuing to support the festival at this difficult time.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that we are a charitable festival and our sole cause is to raise money for good causes in the local area.
Please follow our social media for news on our plans for the August event and further news on 2021 as it evolves.
We look forward to seeing you at our tenth anniversary at #oxf21 #staysafe
Sorry this event is now closed.
